Intrigued by travel, nature, the outdoors, different cultures and the world of physics, Rob Nicholson discovered his calling while serving for the United States Navy. With an artful eye and camera in tow, Rob has traveled the world. Hong Kong, Singapore, Bahrain, Japan, Australia, Korea, Mexico, Canada, Italy, Vietnam and more than half of the United States have been subject to Rob’s journeys. Education and life experiences abound throughout his travels; however, the subjects visually captured on film have been most rewarding.
Documentation of Rob’s journeys can be found in his Fine Art Collection. From a stack of bamboo to dew captured on the petal of a flower, he is notorious for capturing the simplest beauty and making the ordinary, extraordinary.
Aside from Fine Art Photography, Rob is also very passionate about being destination wedding photographer. Since beginning his career in 2002, he has shot numerous weddings and events throughout the east coast. Rob’s 2008-2009 schedule will take him to Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, San Diego, Hawaii, Florida and Jamaica. His candid style of photography has been well received by the public eye and published in Coastal Style Magazine, Delaware Bride Magazine, Delaware Today, Best of Delaware, Delaware Beach Life and several well-known regional news publications.
Rob’s easy-going attitude is significantly reflected in his photography. He enjoys capturing the most candid moments and believes that photographing individuals in their natural and comfortable elements has the most breathtaking results.
Rob works with the finest technology resulting in superior quality. He enjoys working with his clients on a personal level just as much as he enjoys working with his camera. He believes that a client’s comfort and confidence is reflected in their photos. Providing every client with website access, slideshows, online proofing galleries and more, Rob enjoys making his customers a part of their personal photography experience.
As a member of Wedding Photojournalist Association, Professional Photographers of America and Delaware Professional Photographers, Rob has been honored in print competitions and has received numerous honors. Recently Rob was named 2007 Candid Photographer of the Year by DPP.
