Annapolis Maryland Engagement pictures
By Rob | June 9, 2008
It was finally time to meet up with Cynthia and Jody for their engagement pictures! Originally, we were planning on shooting pictures in Southern Delaware, but after some brainstorming we headed out to Annapolis Maryland! We walked around for a bit and then set sail for some sunset pictures. We couldn’t have asked for a better day! I’m sure their Mendanhall Inn wedding will be a blast!

Lightning
By Rob | June 6, 2008
The other day I was out shooting an assignment for Coastal Style Magazine and I ended up getting stuck in the storm. So I waited it out and decided to try to photograph some lightning. It was tough…but I love this picture!

Canon EOS 1D Mark III Digital SLR
By Rob | June 4, 2008
Well, I finally got the camera of my dreams! Other wedding photographers believe that the new Canon EOS 1D Mark III Digital SLR is overkill. Too many useless features. No need for the 10 frames per second, 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and the Live View option. Those are all nice features, but, I love the self cleaning sensor, dual memory card slots and ISO range of 50-6400! So yesterday I received the new Mark3….charged my batteries and decided to got out shooting a little bit. There were some isolated thunderstorms so I had to wait out the storm. Finally, I was able to walk around Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge for a bit. The second I got out of the car….I was attacked by thousands of mosquitoes!!! It was crazy…..when I did finally get back to the car….I had like 10 of those little blood suckers follow me into the car!!!
Here is a photo of some young trees. Added a little slow shutter motion blur.
Loved the composition of the tree and the color of the sun.
This little otter was just cruising along with no worries in the world.
“What do YOU want?”
I love this pic for many reasons!

Jamaica High School pictures
By Rob | May 31, 2008
Here is some more photography from my adventures after Brenda and Jason’s destination wedding at Riu Ocho Rios Jamaica! Kevin (my tour guide) and I drove all over Jamaica! We stopped by his old high school and I was able to photograph some of the Jamaican High School kids through out the day!
I saw this crew and knew they were trouble. Of course they were waiting to see the Principal!
This was one of Kevin’s old teachers.

After several cancellations and reschedules Erin, Rob and I finally met up for some engagement pictures. The skies were ridiculous and they were down to have some fun! We walked around taking pictures and even saw an albino deer! Weird…I know. They are having a Nassau Valley Vineyards wedding in June. I’m sure their wedding will be a blast!
Oh yeah! Modeling career in the future? lol
Gotta get the lighthouse in the pictures….I mean we ARE in Lewes!

DuPont Country Club wedding
By Rob | May 29, 2008
I rarely take a double wedding in a weekend because I want to be fresh as a lily! On Saturday, I photographed a Chesapeake Bay wedding, which was south of Annapolis Maryland, and on Sunday, headed up to Wilmington Delaware for my second wedding! Karen and Rich’s wedding started off with the girls getting ready at Hotel DuPont in Wilmington Delaware. We walked around downtown for a bit while waiting for the limo bus to cart the girls to the church. The weather was great again and gave us more options for photos. The ceremony was at St Hedwig Church and was stunning. I remember St Hedwig from when I used to take the bus from St Elizabeth grade school all the way out to my house. After the ceremony, we headed to Dupont Country Club for some bridal party pictures plus bride and groom pictures! After that the party went strong until 10:00….thanks to All About Me band!
Dad checking the time.
Mom organizing everything.
Love the details of Karen’s dress!

Crazy how much wedding photography has changed!

Lewes Delaware engagement pictures
By Rob | May 28, 2008
Christen and Lyle came down from Long Island New York for some engagement pictures before their Hotel DuPont wedding in July. We walked around a marina in Lewes Delaware right near Irish Eyes Restaurant. The marina had some great opportunities for pictures, and we ended up shooting until the sun went down!
“Will this hold?”
If it holds a yacht…..I’m sure it’ll hold you guys!
After telling them to hop into the big old truck……
….someone thought it was a good idea to turn the key!! lol
It started right up…I thought we were going to get arrested.
Ahoy!
Some quick photoshop work created this “masterpiece!”
“Hey sailor!”
I liked the heavy equipment….”Are you serious?”
Christen quickly hopped up there and popped this pose!

Chesapeake Bay wedding
By Rob | May 28, 2008
The last month has been crazy! Had a Sunny Hill Resort wedding in Upstate New York, Riu Ochos Rios wedding in Ochos Rios Jamaica, engagement sessions in St Michael’s Maryland , Bethany Beach and Lewes Delaware! Then, on Saturday I drove to Edgewater Maryland, which is south of Annapolis Maryland, for Liz and Matt’s wedding. This had to be the nicest day of the season! Breezy, sunny, blue skies and big white puffy cumulus clouds. Perfect weather for a wedding!
“Helping hands”
“Thanks, mom!”
Saw the TV feed of the altar when I first got to the church and was hoping I’d get a shot like this! Love it!!!
Butter fingers!
“How you doin?”
After snapping this pic of the falling kid…the mom said her little boy’s nickname is “the walking wounded!”
Good times!! The rest of the pictures should be up by June 25th.

SOS Children’s Village of Jamaica
By Rob | May 23, 2008
After photographing Brenda and Jason’s Riu Ocho Rios wedding, I spent the last two days in Jamaica driving around and scoping out the non-resort areas. Kevin Green of Sunset Taxi Service (shadaekevinian [at] yahoo.com/1876-3875451) and I drove up to the mountains, to some local schools and then down to the beach! If you want a private tour with a local….make sure you contact him! Tell him Rob the photographer sent you.
On our way out to Negril and Rick’s Cafe, I saw a road that looked familiar to me. I had Kevin take a left and go up the road for about a mile. Well, I was correct and we ended up at SOS Children’s Village of Jamaica. It had only been two months since I had visited the Village last while on my trip covering the Prince Charles events. It was great to see the kids again and a couple ran up the road and gave my knees huge hugs!!! The kids were awesome!!!
This little boy with the bag is the one from “my top 3 favorite pictures in my LIFE!!”

Riu Ocho Rios Jamaica wedding
By Rob | May 22, 2008
Well, last night I returned home after hanging out with Brenda and Jason for their destination wedding at the Riu Ocho Rios in Jamaica! It was nice to head back to Jamaica again for the 3rd time in a year! The trip was wonderful and I had a blast hanging out with Brenda, Jason and all their fam and friends. It was great to be a part of the wedding and to take pictures of the rehearsal and wedding day. We even did a Trash the Dress session afterwards!!! Since the rest of May and all of June are going to be very busy I decided to take a couple extra days to relax. So on Monday and Tuesday after the wedding, I hooked up with Kevin (an awesome private tour guide) and explored “the real” Jamaica!!! There will be many pictures posted later!
Brenda kept asking me what the weather was going to be like!
It rained the Thursday and Friday before the wedding, but turned out to be a great day!
Mom-mom’s wheelchair came in pretty handy when the girls were getting ready.
Yes…here are more shoe shots!
Guests started to arrive at the ceremony site.
The guys were ironing and getting ready in a room on the other side of the hotel.
Some showed up a little late.
Mom-mom was ready to go!
It’s go time, Jason!!!
The backdrop doesn’t get any better than this!
Someone was a little tired of standing….
Of course we took some family pictures after the ceremony.
Less than 20 minutes…..
I love this picture because it looks like a fake backdrop at prom!
This is the real deal, though…just some trick exposure and flash work.
“Give me the dragon!” lol
Some laughs……
Some tears……
Here is Seth, the best man….he turned out to be a pretty nice guy. He also has a pretty cool belt buckle!
Mom-mom enjoyed herself, too!
Brenda, Jason and me after their wedding day!
Thanks guys for allowing me to be a part of your amazing destination wedding in Jamaica!!
All images will be available around June 20th!
