Salero wedding
By Rob | April 15, 2008
I met Julie about this time last year at the Baywood Greens bridal show. We got the ball rolling and shot some engagement pictures at Baywood Greens and Dewey Beach. Now it was time for their wedding day! Of course Julie sent me (a six-year meteorologist) an email 10 days out saying, ” Sooo the 10 day forecast is now up
Mr. Forecaster! So far, no rain. Yea!” Well the day after the email, rain and thunderstorms showed up! The weather was OK and Julie and Brian had an awesome Salero wedding! What a great wedding to start the season off!!!
I met the girls at Bling Salon in Lewes Delaware to get the getting-ready pictures.
Julie wanted me to ride in the limo all day.
Limos are very hard to shoot photos in!
I love my iPhone and kept Julie and Brian updated on the weather all day.
Someone didn’t want to wear his jacket.
Dad sees his little girl for the first time.
There were some tears.
This was a very tough shot!!!
The weather ended up breaking, so Julie and Brian could get their wedding pictures on Rehoboth Beach.
He knew I love Skittles!
“Why is there a fish on my head?”
The bride wanted to dance with me…..I can’t say no!!!
Oh yeah….
Next wedding will be Tracy and Jason’s Sunny Hill Resort wedding in Greenville New York!

Washington DC engagement pictures
By Rob | April 14, 2008
I met Sara and Steve in downtown Washington DC for their engagement pictures before their wedding. Their wedding will take place in Lewes Delaware this June. So, we only had a couple months left, which worked out because they wanted pictures during the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC! We walked about like tourists shooting pictures of every landmark in Washington DC!!!
As if Washington DC didn’t have terrible traffic already!
Parking ticket, huh?
They dreamed of this picture……
“What I do?”
This little girl was adorable.
Steve got some major brownie points for this one!
Sara loved it!
Practice makes perfect.
What is up with my couples trying to push each other in the water all the time?
After having a blast walking about two mile around with this crazy couple in Washington DC….we stopped for some hot dogs! MMM….MMM…Good!

Lewes Delaware engagement pictures
By Rob | April 1, 2008
Sarah, Mike and I headed to downtown Lewes Delaware to hang out and shoot some engagement pictures! We stopped for some drinks at the new Agave Mexican Restaurant in Lewes where some of my good friends, from Redwood Concrete Studio, made the custom concrete bar. Anyhooooo…the weather forecast had thunderstorms and wind for later that day. Fortunately the storms broke up, but the wind was kicking with a capital ‘”K!” We had a great time despite the wind gusts of over 25 mph and the temperature drop of 15 degrees! Pretty sure their wedding will be a lot of fun no matter what!!!
Sarah and Mike are having a Baywood Greens wedding in October.
“It takes two to tango.”
Sarah wanted railroad tracks……
Love this one!
Mike….that won’t hold you.
Fish lips.
This was not good…I thought someone was going for a swim!

Candid Photographer of the Year
By Rob | March 31, 2008
Crazy to think that some dude almost killed me in a car accident this time last year! This month is probably the best month of my career as a professional photographer to date! Mid-month I was hired to cover two events with Prince Charles in Jamaica. Upon my return I received notice that I was awarded 2007 Candid Photographer of the Year by Delaware Professional Photographers. Then shortly after, I received confirmation that I was accepted into the Wedding Photojournalist Association! I do have one other thing to announce, but, I’ll save that for later….so be sure to check back soon.
Good times….

Wedding Photojournalist Association
By Rob | March 28, 2008

Well I just got an email yesterday that I’ve been accepted to the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA)! This is a great honor to me because: “The Wedding Photojournalist Association is a highly screened, critical organization. Less than 5% of wedding photographers out there qualify for membership. Leading the way in Wedding Photojournalism, WPJA represents the most discriminating talent around the world technically, creatively and visually. Qualified members hold industry-leading standards, skills and business integrity.”

SOS Children’s Village of Jamaica
By Rob | March 26, 2008
While on my trip covering Prince Charles in Jamaica I stopped by the SOS Children’s Village of Jamaica. The goal of the SOS Children’s Villages is to offer orphaned and abandoned children - regardless of race, nationality or creed - a permanent home and to prepare them for an independent life. As soon as I got there the kids ran up to me saying, “Sir Sir Sir….take my picture! Let me see…let me see, Sir. Show me, Sir!!!!” After every single picture they wanted to see themselves on the back of the camera screens. A couple of them knew how to scroll through the other images. Pretty crazy.
This was the first kid I saw upon my arrival.
He was having a blast dragging a bucket with a string!
The kid in the green was driving a remote control car down the hill and didn’t even know I was walking up the street.
I waited…..waited…….then he drove the RC car into my foot!
He looked up and I shot this picture!
“Sir Sir….take our picture, Sir!”
This is one of my top 3 favorite pictures in my LIFE!!!
It’s pictures like this that remind me why I love being a photographer!
“The boys.”

Prince Charles in Jamaica
By Rob | March 17, 2008
Well it was a nice treat to head down to Jamaica recently. I wasn’t supposed to visit Jamaica again until Brenda and Jason’s Riu Ocho Rios hotel wedding. During my adventures in Kingston Jamaica and Montego Bay Jamaica I was able to capture some amazing candid photos of Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall! His Royal Highness was so charismatic and knew how to talk to people. I wouldn’t expect anything less from the future King of England!!!

Prince Charles Meets Kingston Jamaica
By Rob | March 14, 2008
Until I figure what images I can use of Prince Charles, I’d like to share some images from my adventures in Kingston Jamaica.
We were escorted by the police to Rose Town Jamaica.
People had no idea what was going on!!
This was the last turn on the street where Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Most of the local families came out to get a peak of the future King of England.
This lucky family’s house was right next to the learning center where
Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall would stop first.
Security was very heavy!
Everyone awaits the arrival of Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
This dog stretches his paws before meeting the Prince.
This old man was so cool as he sang a song for the Prince that contained only the word “welcome.”
This kid was pedaling his heart out to try to keep up with the convoy!
More images will be posted soon!

Prince Charles in Kingston Jamaica
By Rob | March 10, 2008
Well in the morning I’ll be heading down to Jamaica for a last minute job! This might top all my past adventures as a professional photographer by far. The Rose Town project in Kingston, Jamaica is an effort to redevelop Rose Town, in Kingston, Jamaica’s Trench Town district, the birthplace of Bob Marley and reggae. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall are on a five-island Caribbean tour aboard a megayacht to promote environmental protection, sustainable development and youth opportunity. Jamaica will be their last stop and I’ll be there to shoot the events!!!!
Cheerio.

SPCA donation page of Jessie
By Rob | March 6, 2008
Well Jessie contacted me to check my availability for a June 2009 wedding! After chatting with her she informed me that she has been checking out my website for over a year! Then she saw Joanna and Ryan’s Greenville Country Club wedding and I guess that sealed the deal!
Here is some of her first email: “I have been looking at your website eagerly for almost a year now. In helping other friends with their weddings, I started looking- and since I’m a photographer myself (but I don’t do weddings) I always like to see what others are up to. You work is breath-taking. When I got together with Joanna after her wedding and found out you shot her wedding, I was thrilled with your work! She showed me the slide shows you put together of their engagement session and the wedding, and I’m sold. I keep looking at other photographers, but can’t seem to enjoy their work as much as yours. Even though we don’t have things as set as maybe we should to start to connect with a photographer, I’ve been anxiously waiting to get in touch with you.
I was especially sold when I saw how natural Ryan was in the photos - I know that he can clam up in front of the camera, and my fiance is even worse, so I know that you will be able to make his funny-side come out!
I just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully be able to start planning, so I don’t miss out on the chance to have the photographer I want at our wedding. As a photographer, though, this is the one thing in our wedding that I insist on not skimping on. It is only one day, and the photography is the only element that lasts- I want it to be not only excellent, but an experience in and of itself.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
Jessie “
Anywhoooo. She is very involved in many charity efforts….with a final goal of saving the world!!! She is very involved in Maryland SPCA. Here is one of the dogs that she help find a home! So cute!

Here is Jessie with Claudia (the pet cheetah) in Kenya.

If you’d like to help Jessie “save the world” then hop over to her SPCA donation page to see how you can help!
