San Diego Zoo
By Rob | December 28, 2007
Every time we come out to visit San Diego I always make a trip to the San Diego Zoo. The monkeys are so cool! It’s like they are little hairy people with their facial expressions, interactions and personalities. The natural light was spectacular, which helped me create some cool monkey portraits! I wish there was an actual market for monkey portraits……
“Please woman…..I’m watching the game!”
We have the same hair stylist!
Humbled Eyes Photography now shooting Monkey Portraits starting at $200!

Southern California Roadtrip pictures
By Rob | December 27, 2007
Today I decided to get away from the hustle and bustle of the crazy San Diego highways! The 905, 805, 163, 125, 94, 67, 54, 52, 15, 8 and the 5 are among the mix. Hopped in the car and headed out for a 300 mile road trip.
Most of the landscape was dull, dry and lacking color. I did get a couple keepers, though. Hey, at least I got away from the crazy traffic of San Diego!
Can’t wait for Hawaii next week!!!

Trash the Dress San Diego
By Rob | December 21, 2007
After a long awaited photoshoot in San Diego…we finally headed to Anza-Borrego Desert. This was something I’ve wanted to do for some time now. Our adventure started a bit late but we finally made it to the desert just before sunset.
Here was some tricky flash work.
Little more where that came from!
Keep posted. Next week’s Trash the Dress will be in Hawaii!!!

Sunny San Diego
By Rob | December 18, 2007
Well, after wrapping up a very, very busy year, it’s time for a well needed vacation! Kim and I actually met in San Diego while I was serving in the Navy and she was living out there. Her family still resides in San Diego and we come out to visit them 2-3 times a year.
You would think she would have gotten used to the camera by now?
She tends to ignore me a lot!
Imperial Beach.
We actually had our 1st date at Imperial Beach.

Caribbean honeymoon pictures
By Rob | December 16, 2007
I’m on a mini-vacation in San Diego, before I head further west for a Hawaii wedding. Figured I’d finally post some pictures of our Caribbean honeymoon! We enjoyed a week cruise starting in Barbados and wrapped it all up with a week stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Jamaica. Our cruise was from Barbados to St. Lucia, Antigua, San Juan, St. Thomas and Dominica. Then 7 days later, 3 shades darker and 20lbs heavier…we flew over to Jamaica to continue our honeymoon!
We got in late and stayed at a hotel the night before meeting up with the Carnival Destiny.
We woke up for breakfast and this view!
Kim was loving every minute!
Newlyweds!
All aboard…
St. Lucia was our first port of call.
For $1 you can pose with a snake on the side of the road.
This was another guy down the road. Not sure what was more scary…the snake or the guy!
Antiguan kids play at school.
This guy was the “big boss man” of the private beach we went to. From horse back riding, to wave runner, to drink…this was the man to talk to.
The private beaches are more controlled in regards to peddlers. This was one of the only people that approached us selling jewelry. He was nice and not pushy!
San Juan’s doors are beautiful.
Propaganda on the streets.
St. Thomas was wonderful!
On our way to the Barbados airport…to head over to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Fireworks for the 4th!
Room service at the Ritz…this is what a honeymoon should be all about.
Hints:
- Don’t wear anything camouflage while on your Caribbean honeymoon. Apparently, this is considered impersonating an officer and they can confiscate your clothes right off your back! I had to turn my shorts inside out in the plane restroom. Boy I felt like an idiot walking around the airport with my pockets hanging out! Guess it could have been worse…walking around in skivvies.
- While flying around the islands pay close attention to whether you’re supposed to transfer or depart. Most times the flights make many stops on the smaller islands before your final destination. Don’t ask……
- Ask about the all-inclusive packages. At the resorts, food and drinks are very expensive so an all-inclusive package will have a set price which should work out to be cheaper. This way you won’t feel as guilty ordering the $30 triple chocolate cheese cake….mmmmmmm.

Congress Hall Wedding
By Rob | December 9, 2007
Alicia and Mike had a wonderful Congress Hall wedding! After leaving my home in Lewes, Delaware and experiencing a relaxing trip on the Cape May Ferry….(and a couple wrong turns…cough cough) I made it to Congress Hall in Cape May. Alicia and Mike decided to take pictures before the ceremony, which is becoming more popular these days. After 3 days of snow and rain….the weather was surprisingly perfect with a nice warm sun setting to the west. We explored the streets of Cape May, New Jersey in order to create some ART! Mike expressed to me that the past weddings he has been in have resulted in a continued overall “dislike” of the typical wedding photographer. I assured him that he will have a great time….as I’m not the typical wedding photographer. Knowing this, I made the bride and groom pictures fun, short and sweet…as to break his stereotype of wedding photographers. Alicia was a ham and enjoyed every second!

White Clay Creek Country Club Wedding
By Rob | November 14, 2007
Niki and her family have been like family to me since high school! Niki contacted me in July to photograph her wedding. She had another photographer lined up, but really wanted something different! Luckily I was available to photograph her wedding. I was honored to be a part of her wedding day. Niki, Kyle and I hung out for their engagement pictures (one month from their wedding!) at Brandywine Springs State Park.
Their wedding ceremony was at St. Anthony’s in Wilmington. Then the party continued for their White Clay Creek Country Club Wedding.
Good times guys!
Kyle, I will do my best to get you published!
